The Amoskeag Triptych project looks at the entwining topics of the Merrimack River, the mills along the river’s banks, and the public library that serves the people of Manchester. None of these is a simple topic on its own, and certainly together they form a constellation of overlapping, competing, nurturing, confusing, and wonderful connections. It would be difficult, at best, for a single video to capture all those and to open up the possibility of deeper and expanded explorations. The digital environment enables us to present numerous small videos, essays, additional images, and feed-back from others. This provides context and has the potential to foster a collaborative document space.
